Trap Yoga is here, and she is doing it for the culture. Suppose you're unfamiliar with how Trap, a Hip Hop genre that originated in the South, is incorporated into yoga's ancient practice. You're here, you're informed, and you're welcome. Trap yoga is a vinyasa yoga style that focuses on the practicers' flow from one posture to another seamlessly using one's breath. However, this form of yoga goes further. It integrates moves from the culture, such as twerking into traditional poses, pushing the practicer like never before.

Since we are still social distancing, I opted for a virtual class via Youtube, doing my part and getting a free course. I followed Youtuber and Founder of Trap Vinyasa Abiola Akanni's introduction session for a week, and it was terrific. The video gave you poses to enhance flexibility, a high-intensity boxing interlude, and we were twerking. Abiola tells practicers to embrace their sensually, really getting into those hip rolls. It was a time of enjoyment with my body, and the wine only added to the fun.

It has been proven that a moderate consumption of red wine weekly improves heart health, reduces anxiety, and can assist with weight loss. With the relaxing effects of drinking the nectar of the Gods while shaking some and practicing yoga, it was a welcomed self-care time. Trap Yoga and wine provided an excellent source of movement that got my heart rate up during the class and set a relaxing tone after completing.
